Rolling Stones will release new Live Best Of ‘GRRR Live!’ on February 10th.
The new release boasts a tracklisting that spans the illustrious group’s entire history, while featuring some incredible guests, too. The concert stretches back to their 50 & Counting tour, which took place in 2012 and 2013, touching down at sites across the globe.
‘GRRR Live!’ was recorded as a pay-per-view special, but hasn’t been witnessed in over a decade. Due to be officially released on February 10th via Mercury Studios, the album will be available in various formats; 3LP black, 3LP coloured white (Indies exclusive) 3LP red (d2c exclusive), 2CD, DVD + 2CD, BluRay+ 2CD. The Blu-ray and digital versions will include Dolby Atmos.
The show took place on December 15, 2012, the last of four shows in the NYC area – the Rolling Stones utilised Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential Center.
Guests include The Black Keys, on a bone-rattling rendition of ‘Who Do You Love?’ by Bo Diddley; Lady Gaga guests on ‘Gimme Shelter’, while Mick Taylor re-joins the band for a version of ‘Midnight Rambler’.
Other guests include John Mayer and Gary Clark Jr, with Bruce Springsteen guesting on ‘Tumbling Dice’.
