Cadillac Shorty, aka The Habitual Hustler, is a Florida-based rapper making a name for himself in the music scene. Cadillac was undeterred by the things he had to go through in when he was young and has worked his way up the hip-hop ladder to succeed in his career. Born in 1989 as Darrell Davis Jr, he inherited Cadillac Shorty from his late father, a renowned musician in his own right. Cadillac’s family faced a lot of difficulties when his father passed away, prompting his mom to move from one neighborhood to another in search of security for her three kids.

Growing up, Cadillac was always involved in music and was sure that this was the career path he wanted to pursue from a very young age. He was inspired by the fact that he was raised around people who were prominent musical figures in the Miami scene. Cadillac always believes that life and death are in the power of the tongue and manifested his lifestyle through his rap lyrics.

In pursuit of his music career, Cadillac encountered some significant setbacks. He struggled to make enough money, was sent to prison thrice, and spent a lot on lawyer fees. He also experienced self-doubt at one point in his career. “I used to feel like I hadn’t done enough, and I overcame that by staying on my grind,” adds Cadillac. “You need to always keep going no matter what. The sun always shines after the rain. If you wish to follow a dream, start it NOW!” adds Cadillac.

Cadillac aspires to continue disrupting the airwaves across the globe. He aims to continue perfecting his craft while setting realistic goals. “I see myself getting money and living life like I’ve been doing. This is a long-run hustle; it’s not for the weak nor for a week. So every chance I get, I want to buy more land,” says Cadillac.
