Montreal trio Planet Giza will release new album ‘Ready When You Are’ on April 7th.
The group’s excellent debut album landed back in 2019, blending hip-hop production with soul, and other club aspects. Since then, Planet Giza have released a steady stream of new material, before bringing a follow-up album into their sights.
Out on April 7th, ‘Ready When You Are’ steers Planet Giza in different directions, boasting features from Kaytranada, Mick Jenkins, Kojey Radical, Saba, Venna and Topaz Jones.
The project is led by new bouncer ‘Quiet On The Set’, powered by heavyweight production from the group’s Rami B and DoomX. Tony Stone takes the vocal, a lovelorn lyric that urges: “when the world don’t make you smile girl you can always cry on my shoulder…”
