Metro Boomin unleashes new project “Heroes & Villains”.
Metro Boomin makes his return to the music scene as he finally releases his brand new album “Heroes & Villains”. This is his second solo studio album, a follow-up to 2018’s “Not All Heroes Wear Capes”. In 2020, the producer also linked up with 21 Savage for a collaborative album “Savage Mode II“.
The star-studded effort comes with 15 tracks, with guest appearances from Young Thug, Travis Scott, Future, Chris Brown, 21 Savage, Don Toliver, Gunna, ASAP Rocky, Takeoff, The Weekend and more. Travis Scott, 21 Savage and Future assist on multiple tracks.
Earlier this week, Boomin dropped a short film in support of the project, with appearances from Morgan Freeman, Young Thug, Gunna and more.
Additionally, Young Thug and Gunna feature in the animated feature as coworkers who serve as broadcasters to show viewers the commotion engulfing the city. Throughout, “Free YSL” banners were displayed as Metro made sure to stand up for his pals who are behind bars.
The album’s music serves as the soundtrack for the video, with 21 Savage and Future featured on a variety of elaborate songs, while Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy “So Appalled” sample and Chris Brown’s vocals are used in the closing credits sequence.
