Members of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden have formed new group 3rd Secret.
The band confirmed their arrival with a surprise debut album, with 3rd Secret’s new self-titled LP on streaming services now.
Very much putting the ‘super’ into supergroup, 3rd Secret boast a storied line up, including Krist Novoselic of Nirvana, Matt Cameron of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, and Kim Thayil of Soundgarden.
The new album represents a moment of closure, too, with the LP becoming the first first album Cameron and Thayil have made together since Chris Cornell’s death in 2017.
The trio are joined by Bubba Dupree (Void), Jillian Raye (Novoselic’s bandmate from Giants in the Trees), and Jennifer Johnson.
