Meek Mill Announces He Will Drop 10 Independent Albums From September

Meek Mill is coming with a lot of heat from next month.

Meek Mill isn’t active musically since his last year’s project, and he’s now about to kick off his new era next month. The rapper was recently been indulging in beef with the major labels and called out Atlantic Records for trying to separate him from Roddy Ricch.

“Roddy my youngin still …. But that label seperated us instantly when the millions came in from him… same thing they tried to do with me and rozay … it takes a long time to catch up too because most of em tied in for the love of some money …artist scared to speak up,” he said previously.

The Philadelphia rapper has now announced that he will be releasing 10 projects independently with no major label support. “10 tapes independently starting September, I’m not dropping albums on Friday either!” he wrote. Meek Mill also revealed that he will drop new music on August 18th, the same that his father died. “F**k it ima take the risk … a million behind every project! All sponsors connected to me or my brand tap in immediately I need y’all for this riskkkk ima take!” he wrote on his IG.

Last year, he dropped his fifth studio album “Expensive Pain” through Atlantic Records And Maybach Music Group. The project came with guest appearances from Lil Durk, Lil Baby, Kehlani, ASAP Ferg, Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, Moneybagg Yo and more. It debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200 with 95,000 album-equivalent units in the first week.
