Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem have shared new single ‘The Hillbillies’.

While the pair are known for their intensely focussed artistry, the duo’s work together often takes on a more carefree appeal. For the next exhibit, we’d like to present ‘The Hillbillies’, a track laced with in-jokes and Easter eggs.

The elastic beat provides room for Kendrick and Keem to spar, while the producer samples Bon Iver’s pandemic-era tune ‘PDLIF’. As a trivia note, that song itself samples Alasbaster dePlume’s ‘Visit Croatia’.

Out now, ‘The Hillbillies’ comes with a lo-fi video, which takes you to London alongside the rap pairing. Tyler, the Creator makes a quick guest appearance, brandishing a Camp Flog Gnaw 2023 badge – so, looks like his festival will return this year.

Check out ‘The Hillbillies’ below.
