JAY-Z Cals Kendrick Lamar's New Album "Mr. Morale" Special

JAY-Z and Kendrick Lamar share words at Grammys 2023.

Kendrick Lamar was one of the big winners at the 65th annual Grammy Awards, where the rapper was honoured with three trophies. He won the award for Best Rap Album for his latest project “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers“, along with Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for his incredible track “The Heart Part 5“.

The rapper made a rare appearance at the event, where he met several other artists including the legendary JAY-Z. A new clip of Hov and Lamar’s conversation was shared online, where “The Blueprint” hitmaker praised Kendrick’s new album “Mr. Morale” and called it special. He also congratulated him for winning the best rap album.

Kendrick Lamar’s wife Whitney Alford shares a clip of his 3-year-old daughter’s reaction to the rapper’s speech, which they watched live on TV. “They’re talking about us!” Uzi told her mom. “He’s talking about his family, Uzi and Enoch and mommy.” “Congrats on 3 more @kendricklamar. We [love] and appreciate you!” his wife wrote.

Kendrick Lamar expressed gratitude towards both his family and supporters after winning his second Best Rap Album Grammy. “First and foremost, I would like to thank my family for giving me the courage and the vulnerability to share these stories and my truth with this album,” Kendrick Lamar said. “I want to thank my fans for trusting me with these words. As artists, we’re all entertainers. And we say things to provoke thoughts and feeling and emotions. Making this record, it’s one of my toughest records to make, and they allowed me to do that and allowed me to share other people’s experiences.”
