Drake, Quavo, Offset, Cardi B & More Attends Takeoff’s Emotional Memorial Service In Atlanta

Takeoff’s memorial service held at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

It was a day to remember the life of Takeoff as an emotional Memorial Service took place at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The rapper was shot and killed over a dice game in Houston around 10 days ago.

The memorial was attended by close of 20,000 people, which includes family and fans. The service lasted a few hours, and featured tributes from Offset, Quavo, Drake, Cardi B and more. The Toronto rap star gave a speech in memory of Takeoff, and cracked some jokes. “Whenever he would take his shades off, he had this thing about him that I love, no matter what was going on around us, he was always kind of squinting, but like his eyes were wide open,” he said.

“You were always with me and we did everything together. Since we was kids, you’ve been by my side, looking up at me with them eyes,” Quavo said in his emotional speech. “You never competed with me. We were always on the same team ’cause you hated playing against me ’cause I always played too hard or too rough.”

The event also featured some performances, as Justin Bieber performed an acoustic version of “Ghost”, & Chloe Bailey performed a cover of Beyonce’s “Heaven”. The service was also attended by YG, Gucci Mane, Mustard, City Girls, Lil Yachty, Teyana Taylor, Cee-Lo Green, Russell Simons and many more.
