BRIC Home Block Social gathering & Household Day (Solar, Sept. 10 from 12-6pm) is a one-day celebration in commemoration of Hip-Hop 50. BRIC kicked off their newly introduced Hip-Hop initiative, BRIC Hip-Hop, throughout the fiftieth anniversary weekend and can proceed the festivities with a fun-filled household pleasant day of fine vibes. Dance to DJs and stay music, create collaborative artworks, and entry Fort Greene/Flatbush data and materials from neighborhood cultural and social assets. There shall be video games, sports activities actions, a mural set up, artistic workshops at BRIC Home and extra.

Attendees may have a sneak preview of BRIC Hip-Hop – the brand new, everlasting residence for Hip-Hop schooling, expression, and its evolution. The Fall programming will embody a number of elements of Hip-Hop tradition together with visible artwork, trend, movie, advocacy, and extra. BRIC’s Hip-Hop 50 curation underscores their dedication to showcasing and institutionalizing Hip-Hop tradition & preserving neighborhood connection. They plan to walk by the style’s 50 years with an eye fixed towards the margins and the oldsters who uphold the tradition from behind-the-scenes. WHO: BRIC Home in collaboration with WMG/BSE International is honored to have a good time Hip-Hop and curate house for the neighborhood.
