Birdman Wants More Credit For CEOs For Keeping Hip-Hop Alive

Birdman speaks on Hip-Hop’s 50th anniversary.

The rap community is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop in 2023, and Birdman wants more appreciation for the CEO’s just like rappers. The Cash Money mogul took to his Instagram and demanded credit for keeping hip-hop alive.

“Im confused about 50yrs of Hip Hop where they salute legendary artists which is well respeked also I think CEOs who kept these artists alive to be great showed them how to keep hip hop alive should be saluted in a major way,” wrote Birdman in a now-deleted IG post. “I remember wen they said Hip Hop was dead and we Kept it alive YMCMB 20plus summers respek our hussle CEO s kept hip hop alive frfr @cashmoneyofficial #RICHGANG #STUNNAMAN.”

“Real talk OG. This should be discussed in a major way. Let’s Go,” responded Quality Control Music’s Pierre “P” Thomas. “Facts. great work cuz u and slim did that,” responds Snoop Dogg.

Earlier this month, Grammys celebrated 50 years of hip-hop at the 65th annual awards, which featured tribute performance from the likes of LL Cool J, Method Man, Run DMC, Busta Rhymes, Grandmaster Flash, Chuck D, Flavor Flav, Black Thought, Queen Latifah and more.
