Adele has spoken about fans throwing objects at artists while they are performing.
It’s become a hot topic of late, with Bebe Rexha suffering a painful injury after a ‘fan’ lobbed an object at her during a New York show. The concert-goer was charged by police, but it’s merely the latest in a long line of audience members throwing objects at the stage.
To take a few examples: Ava Max was recently slapped in the face, while footage of P!NK receiving the ashes of a fan’s parent while onstage in London went viral – the singer said it was “a step too far”.
Lil Nas X recently headlined Lollapalooza in Stockholm, with a fan tossing a sex toy onstage during the finale. Walking slowly towards it, he picked it up and then asked the crowd: “Who threw they pussy on stage?”
Holding down her Las Vegas residency, Adele went through her now-traditional routine of firing t-shirts into the audience using an air gun. Smile that devilish grin, she said:
“Have you noticed how people are forgetting fucking show etiquette and people are just throwing shit on stage?”
“I fucking dare you. Dare you to throw something at me and I’ll fucking kill you,” she continued before firing a t-shirt into the crowd.

Adele’s Las Vegas residency runs until November 4th. Her album ’30’ was released in 2021, with Adele subsequently stealing the show at the BRIT Awards 2022 – she wore three different outfits, performed ‘I Drink Wine’, and won a trio of gongs.
